Life Drawing

Today we had Ollie as our tutor and our task was to create a range of life drawings experimenting with different drawing styles, different medias and different poses by the model. Today was one of my favorite days as we had creative freedom to do what we liked and the atmosphere was relaxed. I really enjoyed working with Oille as he was very encouraging and knowledgeable. He timed us with every drawing causing me to produce different outcomes which I liked. We was sometimes timed for five minutes and other times for twenty or even fifteenth.

I used charcoal , water colour paints, pencil, Marker pen & fine liner pen for my work in a range of ways trying to explore different drawing styles. I've done life drawing before so I was no stranger to the process and knew what to expect. I'm happy with all my outcomes (for once) and when I had a look around at other peoples work I saw some lovely pieces. When life drawing your looking at the structure of the human body, analysing every section. This is helpful because a designer you have to imagine how your garment will look on the human body. How it will move, drape and hang against the body is important.
